The Boston Bruins Fire Jim Montgomery

In a move everyone saw coming for weeks now, the Boston Bruins have relieved Jim Montgomery from his coaching duties.  He has been replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach Joe Sacco.  Let’s take a look at why it came to this and where the Bruins go from here.

Boston Bruins Off Season Preview

The Boston Bruins lost game 6 of the Eastern Conference semi finals to the Florida Panthers and have been eliminated from the playoffs.  It was a hell of a season for the Bruins.  They finished second in the division and had 109 points on the season.  They beat their old foe, the Toronto Maple Leafs, in the first round, costing the Leaf’s coach his job, and put up a fight against the division winning Florida Panthers.  Let’s look at where the Bs stand as their season comes to an end.

Boston Bruins vs Florida Panthers Preview

The Boston Bruins have made it to the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs by defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime of game 7 of their first-round match up.  The Bruins let a 3 to1 game lead slip away before finishing off the Red Sox to their Yankees with a beautiful goal by should be Hart Trophy winner David Pastrnak.  Now they take on the division winning Florida Panthers.  Let’s take a look at how the Bruins got here and what needs to happen for them to advance to the next round.
