Just like last game, here are my running thoughts as I watched the New York Yankees take on the Trolly Dodgers from LA. Did you know that that’s where “Dodgers” comes from? They were originally the Brooklyn Trolly Dodgers. Well, now you know. Anyways, here we go…

–Pregame–

–I don’t mind Travino starting behind the plate. Wells is a mess right now and Trevino has had some big hits for the Yanks in the past. Maybe playing the whole game will get him going.  

–It would be big for the Yanks to get to Buehler early. They probably won’t pull him early unless his pitch count gets out of control no matter how many runs he gives up. However, with LA going with a Bullpen day tomorrow, getting into the pen early today could go a long way towards getting back into the series.

–I hope the Yankees aren’t planning a rap concert tonight.

–aaand the Yankees went with the rap concert. Good thing the Celtics are on.  

–Ohtani usually hits a ton at the Stadium. Hopefully he hurt just enough to keep him from blowing up.

–MLB should be fined for false advertising saying the start time is 8:08 when they know damn well it isn’t 

–hey look, a fucking baseball game.

–Top 1–

–Schmidt might be a little over hyped to start.

–Oh, good idea, throw over and see if you can get Ohtani to dive back to the base.

–Not a good start for the home plate ump. We’ll see how this goes the rest of the night.

–I really wish throwing at guys was still a part of baseball. Freeman is way too comfortable at the plate.  

–That could have gone better.

–Bottom 1–

–Love the crowd giving Judge a standing O for his first AB.  

–Well, at least they made him throw 22 pitches.

–Top 2–

–why are these announcers surprised Tommy John surgery isn’t a big deal anymore?  

–Way to settle in Clark. Now lets get some famn runs.

–Bottom 2–

–Yankees struggling against fastballs all plaoffs is a problem.  

–I really wish MLB didn’t stick the Strauss ads on the batting helmets. I have no idea what Strauss does but I know I will never do buisness with them. 

–Top 3–

–Schmidt is not long for this game. Boone pulls him early anyways. He won’t see the 5th.

–These anouncers blow

–And now the Yankees are getting unlucky. Just what they need.

–They have to keep it here. The Yankees can’t get to 5 runs. I hate to say it but They really need to have someone warming.  

–Yankee fans don’t feel like they have the advantage when Rodon is pitching no matter who is in the mound for the other team.

–Go get him. 

–Don’t know if Leiter is the way to go.

–Apparently it was.

–Bottom 3–

–Score some damn runs!

–There should be a constitutional amendment outlawing interviewing coaches and players during games. Leave them alone.  

–We got ice

–maybe next inning.

–Top 4–

–Probably gonna want to stop walking guys. 

–I thought he was safe

–Bringing in Nester here makes more sense. He could give them multiple innings. Assuming he doesn’t get torched.

–There ya go Nasty Nester.

–Bottom 4–

–maybe this will be the inning.

–The Yankees are being no hit. Buehler is throwing a no hitter.

–Giancarlo is doing what he can.

–Could have done without that.

–I am glad Volpe hit a curveball there.

–Hey, the defense made a good play.

–Travino wasn’t the answer. Shocking.

–Why did he pull Nester??? Why burn more bullpen guys?  

–Volpe still great at short.

–Why did they take Nester out?!?

–Who the hell is Max Bishop?

–Stanton deserves better

–93 middle middle and Jazz misses it. This is why they can’t score. Dodgers would have crushed that.  

–Top 7–

–They know he can’t hear that, right?

–I think Freeman’s ankle is broken, he should sit out the rest of the series

–Bottom 7–

–Maybe this will be the inning

–Yanks need one of these relievers to just not have it.

–I want to point out I said that before Smoltz

–Bob Geren. There’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. A long time.  

–Good AB for Rizzo

–First low strike he’s called all game

–Verdugo works a walk. I think I’ll wet my pants

–back when I was catching, at times like this, I would call for a high fast ball and just let it hit the ump in the mask.

–I’m a huge Tommy Tight Pants fan.

–For the Yanks to win they are gonna have to have the bottom of the line up score. Not a good situation.  

–Top 9–

–did you know the US is one of only 2 countries in the entire world that allows direct to consumer advertising for pharmaceuticals? New Zealand, I believe is the other one.

–Boone manages like it’s a little League game and everyone has to play.

–Bottom 9–

–Well, it’s all or nothing

–Fastball middle middle and Volpe takes it. It’s his biggest flaw. Pitch selection.

–Yankee Stadium is actually a neutral park, not a hitters park. Just fyi

–I’d say maybe that will spark them but nothing else has so why would that.

–Well, the Yankees don’t have to win four straight games, they have to win one game. Tomorrow night.
